Biozone Lamp F.A.Q - (Frequently Asked Questions:)
How do I know what size to order:
On the back of your Biozone, it usually has a label that says D1000, D2000
etc. This translates to the Biozone 1000, 2000, etc.
How often should I change the lamp?
Whether the lamp has burnt out or not, you should change your Biozone Lamp on an
annual basis for best performance. The filament will weaken as the lamp
ages with use. And even though it may stay lit for longer than a year,
it's performance will degrade with time.
How do I change the lamp?
This depends on the age of your Biozone Air Purifier.
Older machines: This will require that
you take screws out to open the unit up. Once done, you can locate the
lamp, remove it and simply put the new lamp in it's place. There is no
fuse in the older macines.
Newer machines: These actually have a
door on the back. Push the two tabs to open the door. This will give
you access to where the Biozone lamp attaches. Make sure once you
change the lamp that you close the door tightly and the two tabs click into
place. If the door is not closed, the machine may not turn on.
I replaced the lamp and it still doesn't work.
If the fan is on but the lamp won't light, this typically indicates a bad fuse.
The older machines that you need a screwdriver to change the lamp do NOT have a
fuse in them. If you have a newer machine, have changed the lamp and it is
still not working, find the fuse we sent you with the lamp. It is
sometimes taped to the packing slip or the bubble wrap of the lamp itself.
The fuse is VERY small and easy to miss. Look closely.
If you bought the lamp from another online dealer, give
them a call and ask them to send you a fuse. As mentioned, we include the
fuse free as a courtesy to YOU! Just another reason to show with My-Air-Purifier.com.
