Tips for better home smoke removal results:

Designate a smoking room with a door on it.

Open the window a slight bit.
Place a draft dodger in front of the crack at the bottom of the door or weather strip it to close off the opening to the rest of the home.
Run the air cleaner at all times for best results.
If you have a return air vent (where air is sucked into the ductwork, close it off somehow.)

These tips will ensure the maximum containment of the smoke into that one room until the air cleaner has time enough to do it's job and remove the smoke. Hope this helps!
